I just have to write to say that today while Hillary and I were shopping at Target, I saw bubble bath in the baby aisle. I immediately bought it and was so excited for Jackie's first bubble bath.
Tonight we got upstairs, set Hillary in the boppie pillow outside the bathroom door and I plopped Jax in the tub. She was excited to see Elmo on the bottle. Things were looking good. I poured in 2 cap-fulls of bubble bath. The more the merrier, right? Wrong.
She HATED it. She hated it even more because the bubbles were sticking to her hands and feet- exactly what she hated about wet sand at the beach this summer. She must get this trait from her Uncle Brian. She was crying trying to shake them off. She kept saying, "No bubble! No bubble!" I tried to distract her by playing with her ducky, singing songs - Row Row Row Your Boat gets her every time. Eventually, I gave up and took her out of the tub. She called out "Duck!" as her duck lay at the bottom of the tub covered in bubbles. I wanted to go downstairs to grab my camera to capture this moment, but I knew the second I left, she'd try to get out of the tub and either drown or hurt herself.
All night she kept pointing at the bathroom saying, "No bubbles. Duck. No bubbles."
Fail.
On a more positive note, though, she did keep her hair bow in her hair the entire day at school. This is a first.

Memorial Day 2011
One of the first time we played at this park was on Memorial Day, which was one of the worst weekends ever work-wise for both Jim and myself. Thankfully, my mom came and saved the day by watching Jackie. Even though Jackie looks really cute on the swing, I can't look at these pictures without remembering that weekend and how difficult it was to balance 100 emails and phone calls as well as a toddler- and I cringe.

One Month
She weighs 9 pounds 10 ounces (60th percentile)
Her height is 22 1/4 inches (90th percentile)
Her head is 37 cm (50th percentile)
She's meeting all her developmental milestones (tracking objects with her eyes, moving limbs on both sides of her body equally, etc... I can't remember the rest).
She received her 2nd Hep B vaccine and cried loudly.
I must say, though, sitting in the waiting room with a sleeping infant is much easier than sitting in a waiting room trying to tame a toddler. Despite the fact that both Hillary and I have colds and I haven't slept for over 3.5 consecutive hours in 5 weeks- we had a nice morning!
