Zoo
Did I post these? We went to little zoo a few weekends ago. Jim emailed me these pics... Can't recall if I posted 'em. If not, here is an extra special reminder.
Also, today we went to Costco and the girls wore jeans and ate "snacks." I was afraid the ppl handing out cheese and pizza were going to yell at me. Then I realized they were prob paid min wage and couldn't give a crap. Also, I want that pretty tree.

Committee
I was totally pressured into joining the parents' committee at the nursery school, which resulted in the girls attending the meeting with me. Hey, we are a package deal- what can I say? It was one of those times I was glad my girls are so close in age because while other kids hung onto their parents, Jax & Hillers had each other- and dove right into the toys together. Win.
Below we have a photo of my girls diving into the toybox in Hilly's room. I have an awesome framed pic to hang above that box and this picture is inspiring me to get moving on Hilly's room. I'm still catching up for lost time after she was born 3 weeks early. 3 weeks and 9 minutes.
What is also special about the photo below is that yesterday (when this was taken) Hilly turned 13 months! Her onesie is unsnapped because I was waiting for a call from the doctor about a suspicious looking rash on her bum and wanted easy access for examination when he called back.
Below is Jax at the church this morning. The skirt? From Aunt K and Uncle C to HILLY for Hilly's bday. The boots? Also purchased for Hilly. Jax loves boots, what can I say? She did NOT want to wear the skirt, though. But guess what? I wanted her to wear it, and I gave her no choice. Liberal parenting at its finest.
Jax has been saying the funniest things lately, so I wrote them down.

- During Hilly's birthday party, I gave her a bath (post-cake), so there was some cake in the tub that night at bath time. Jax freaked- she hates dirt, etc.. The next bath time she said to me excitedly, "No cake in the water!"
- This week she was spinning around her room, stopped and then grabbed onto her crib and said, "It's moving!" I said, "What is moving?" She responded, "My room!!"
- Last night in the bath she was pretending to be Ms. Alicia teaching Barbie to swim and said in a serious tone, "Noo... we don't do that." and "Be careful up there!" (on the ledge of the tub)
- To Hilly and her baby dolls, "Be gentle!" (obviously from us telling Hilly that every day. Hilly our abusive toddler)
- Lou was jumping up on Hilly's high chair and I pushed her down. Jackie said, "NO! Don't do that. Don't push Louie!" I explained to her that I was being gentle when I was pushing. At the next meal when Lou was begging at Hilly's high chair, she said, "I will get Louie down." She then stood directly behind Louie and started to pull her tail at the base. Gross!
- After Gma D-ster left last Sunday, Jackie kept walking over to Hilly, giving her a kiss on the forehead and saying, "Hi sweetheart!"

Jack's daily report and some pics I took from the class album. In the pic around the "fireplace," Jack's pink shoes are visible on the right.
Also included is a pic of Jax en route to school this AM and Hillers are Target yesterday w the cow I let her play with. 'Twas a brief, yet intense, love affair.

Apples and Swimming
Apples are officially out of my hands. I feel really accomplished.
Jack did awesome at swimming this week and I am relieved. She said "I swam well, mommy."
Hilly looks like an old lady with a walker using her awesome new toy from Gma D-ster. It is so cute.
Hilly's words:
Yo gabba gabba (gabba gabba gabba)
Hannah (la la)
Mama
Dads
Baba
Also she started saying "no, no, no,
No!". Especially after I say it to her. I say it a lot. She reminds me of a clumsy beagle. Always creating mischief without even realizing it.

Cozy!
I put a fleece pullover on Jackie mid-convo. She stopped what she was saying, started giggling and then said "oooh! Coooozy!"
10 min later she said "Too hot!" and wanted it off. This chick is always sweating.
Anyway, Hilly has a bug and has been running a fever, diarrhea, runny nose for a few days now. Gma D-ster said she was a total angel with her, so she must have been holding in her misery. What a trooper!
I have to get 30 apples (10 of each color), cinnamon graham crackers and a bag of carrots for Jackie's school tomorrow. I am in charge of snack this week. Dude, 30 apples? That is too many apples.

Night Away
While we were away, the girls had a blast with Gma D-ster and were angels (according to their grandmother, a decidedly biased source). But that's okay, because my grandmothers always thought I was the cat's meow too. :)
Anyway, we are home and happy, even though we had a blast with old friends.
And yes I stalked Abby Lee Miller's Dance Studio.

Now and Then
A few days ago:
A year ago this month:
My girls! Who knew H-monster would end up with such an awesome personality?
J and I are on the way to Pittsburgh for a wedding, and Gma D-ster is holding down the fort. Thank you, Mom!

Migraine
Remember my food poisoning? So I spent the better part of Tuesday trying not to vomit. Jax had school and then swimming. She had a bad lesson and I had a bad time watching the lesson. Above is her post- lesson.
On Wednesday my nausea was followed by a migraine, which was a delight. So I became loser-mom and let my kids watch too much TV (although I'm proud to say that they generally play very nicely together- so they played for hours in the playroom while I sat there with my eyes closed trying not to vom.). How lucky am I? And also, Thank God for that playroom. Below are Jax and Lou (and Hannie) zoned out to Yo Gabba.
Thursday was bright and sunny- and Hillers and I dropped Jax off at school and had some Hilly/Mama time.
Then they zoned out before nap while eating lunch. Confession: I often let them watch YouTube stuff while they eat or else Jax won't eat. She will go for a long time without eating which I don't like.
And thus ends my photo collection for this week.
Oh, and I had this appointment that is too boring to discuss here, but it ran slightly late and then there was an accident, blah blah- I was a 10 minutes late picking her up from daycare. So I called them at 11:45 and told them I was on my way and I was sorry for being late, blah blah. I get there- 2 other mothers were late but had just arrived. Jax had tears streaming down her cheeks. I asked why she was crying and they said because I wasn't here to pick her up! GAHHH!! Never doing that again. No more appointments during Jax's preschool hours ever again no matter what. In the car she said, 'Mama, my cried because I wanted you.' No guilt, right?

Swimming and Baby
Above is Jax at her swim lesson on Tues. The time is bad- right after nursery school. She cried a lot bc she said her new goggles are leaking. I am contemplating begging the teacher for a new time.
Earlier in the week, Hillers tried on her new scrubs and they fit awesomely.
On Monday we visited my friend's new baby. We tried to get all the kids to lay in a circle. Mildly successful.
Then we got to babysit while my friend went grocery shopping. Jax was in LOVE. She said to me, 'Him cute.' with a smile. Then she kept kissing his head and pointing out his little ears. She was a total mommy and kept telling everyone to "Shhh! Be quiet!" so he could sleep. And she insisted on closing his bedroom door so no noise would get in. She is the sweetest. Also, please note that this was Day 3 of wearing the Eagles jersey. I haven't let her wear it since.
