If you've come here to see anything other than pics of Hilly's 1st ponytail, you best be moving right along. :)
Nat, Smod, Nina, Mer and Brooke threw me a sprinkle for Ben, which was so, so nice. And I received lots of diapers and adorable baby boy items (and Jax and Hills received a few gifts from Aunt Smoddy as well). And wine, which I suspect I will need with 3 kids under 3.5! :)
Mostly, though, it was just nice to hang with my friends.
Hilly wore her very first ponytail and also sported a bumblebee outfit which is maybe the cutest outfit ever, and Jax was an angel as usual. She loves baby boy stuff.
Also on Saturday the girls ate lunch at Grammy and Pops' and saw robin eggs (now deceased, sadly). And we hit up Home Depot after naps for flowers and gardening stuff.
Monday we babysat M again and Jax's BFF, P, and little sis and mom were kind enough to join. It was a wild ride!

Friday
I am exhausted so this has to be short. I know this is making you sad.
Friday we went to DCM w P and Will, Iron Hill for lunch, directly to gymnastics. Hilly and baby Hannah bonded hardcore in the waiting room while Jax and P mastered their skillz.
I can't recall what happened after that.... I think 2 failed naps and ultimately a movie night bc they were both so crabby by 630- and then in bed by 7.
Jack says her prayers every night and it always because with "Dear God, Thank you for this wonderful day." Friday truly was wonderful.

PSA
For some reason the last 2 entries are flip flopped. I am not tech savvy (or determined) enough to fix them, though. :/
2 quick funny things Jackie said lately:
Jax: "Hilly, I need you to be quiet!"
Gma D: "Is that what mommy says?"
Jax: "TOTALLY."
Busted x2
Me: "Jackie, if you steal Jake from Hilly, you are going directly to Ben's crib for time out."
Jax: "NEVER!" (announced in borderline singsong pirate tone, yet dead serious) Jim and I were trying so hard not to laugh out loud.

GD test woes..
Since I will be sitting in a lab for 56 more minutes for my gestational diabetes test, I thought I would update my fine blog.
Jax cried a lot during swim again. Her teacher told me she was going to be tough on her because she has the swimming ability for group lessons but is plain old not wanting to do it (basically turning from her back to front and back again for various strokes or whatever). I am ok with her having a tough swim teacher, so this is fine by me.
She had fun at school also. Did I write on here that she told me last Thurs they planted seeds and flowers and birdseed will grow? Jim said "They planted sunflower seeds" without missing a beat. Yesterday I confirmed w Miss W this was indeed true. Jack wore her necklace and her BFF P sported her crown and Jax told me they traded mid-morning.
Then Jack's classmate Mae*ve came over to play- her mom had a 3pm interview and I had a 5pm dr appt so I watched M during her interview and she stayed w the girls at my house during my dr appt. M was super shy at first and it was adorable how jackie tried SO hard to play and make her feel comfortable- showing her toys, dancing, etc...I love my Jackie.
Gma D came this morning bright and early and as I left for this glucose crap, they were in the middle of an epic game of hide-n-seek. I can't wait to get out of here to do fun things! Jax has Little Gym today.

Gma Visit
I only got these pics since we were so busy playing. Gma watched Jax at Little Gym and good thing bc it was parent participation day and I had hilly. I totes forgot. So Gma watched H while I played parachute w Jackie and her classmates and their parents.
We ate w girls at my absolutely favorite pregnancy restaurant in the world- Ruby T's. That salad bar is all I need for the rest of my life to eat. I remember when I was 7 weeks pregnant with Hilly and my mom was watching Jackie for the day while I was working. I came home and said "I am starving and we have to go to Ruby T's right now because I am 7 weeks pregnant." or something like that. She was like "Omg! What??" and I was like "Digest the news en route, please. I am shaking with hunger and nausea." I digress.
Anyway, the girls napped then played the day/night away w Gma and Jim and I went out for a late impromptu bday dinner at like 8pm when when he was able to leave work.
At 530am Jackie woke up and called "Grandma!" I kept them occupied with cartoons til 630 when I let them wake up Gma. We dropped Jack off at school and it was tearful, so her teacher asked if she wanted to show her Gma the room. Hilly and I crashed the party and it was crazy! They have caterpillars that have all spun cocoons, praying mantis pods (vomit- her teacher told me there are 100s in each pod and a few years ago a parent gave her a pod and she thought "cool!" and put it in cabinet. Her and the asst teacher walked in one day and there were 100s of baby praying manti (?) all over the room- on walls, floor, etc...hahaha), an aquarium of WORMS, and the usual suspects- the fish and frogs). Apparently last week they had a snake Ms W's daughter caught by a river. Anyway, I totally think it's awesome that Jax is exposed to this stuff and I want a weekly tour of her classroom! I also love her teacher because she is laid back and cool and I feel like she probably has a secret tattoo. Basically, Ms W is cool as hell. And Ms A is like the sweetest, nicest and most nurturing woman. I just think she was meant to be a preschool teacher. I am sad that Jackie won't have them next year and also sad Hilly won't. I just don't think it's worth the money at her age- especially since she will have just turned 2 and I can't part with my Hilly monster for 3 mornings a week. Too soon.
After school I had 2 tired monkeys. We all napped for hours and and woke up to read books, play dominos and admire Jax's plant from school and go on a wagon ride with Dada. That plant has been through a lot today, let me tell you.
