So Depressed...

That our vacay is over. I seriously almost cried.

This chick below: nobody is more excited to see fish than her. nobody is more angry I can't hold her on demand. A Mennonite woman actually gave me encouragement today as I publicly "ignored" Hilly's tantrum on the way home from the beach (the shortest walk in the world). In any event, I love my Hilly with all my heart and recognize her inherent brilliance and awesome-ness.

The girls were in bed but Jim, me and the Eidings went to a kite-boarding restaurant and witnessed a magical sunset.

Jill braided Jack's hair, Nenna braided Hilly's. 

Ummm... We broke the Eiding mold and made a fire on the beach. Shout out to Mark and Uncle C for an awesome fire.

Aunt K hooked up the girls w cute little puppets Jack is playing with below.

Bethany Beach and OBX part 1

First off, my fave pic of Jax:

In Bethany at Grammy and Pops' beach house, the girls slept together and watched ninja turtles. Don't be fooled- this looks peaceful but it was so hard to keep them in bed we gave up and let them stay up until they collapsed. I mean, it was our anniversary and all. Who needs to battle a 2 and 4 year old? Not it.

First morn at OBX, I woke up and realized Jax and Jim were on porch, gazing at the burned down house that Jack was obsessed w. Not a surprise. 

Dead shark washed up a few weeks ago and we had the luxury of watching it rot. Which again, Jack was pumped about. I asked what her fave part of beach was. She said "sand." She asked me the same and before I could answer she nodded and said "shark? Mine too." That's my girl!

Aunt B visit

Friday began w Jack's end of school picnic. She ran around w her buddies (P, Kyle, Will, Evelyn and Abby) for hours.  In this pic below, I told these 3 to give me their best monster face.  Their specialty. 

These two, below, being both 2 and spending a ton of time together fight like sisters sometimes but yesterday, Lala kept giving Hilly hugs and they played w sticks and stuff. Cuties. 

These 2 are inseparable as of late.  They have a sweet friendship that only took literally years of hanging out to blossom, as they are both so shy. Kyle is such a nice kid. 

Then we picked up Aunt B and she came to watch Jackie's gym. The girls were beside themselves. 

This guy. Kept crawling into gym. I thought "ok, so long as he is quiet." But he knew he was somewhere he shouldn't be and just squealed with delight every time. 

Jack worked hard to show her aunt her skillz. 

Then we went to dinner at Grammy and Pops' house w Aunt B. 

They had a blast and fell asleep in record time last night.
