Please Touch Museum- Annual Trip

Below are the kids, sans baby Kate who the girls are soooo excited to meet.
After gym we hit up PTM in Philly w Kennedy and Penelope and it did not disappoint. We could've easily spent 2 days here.  Below this guy had a marionette goat.  How did he end up with this job??
Alice in Wonderland exhibit:

Jackie LOVED playing in this hospital. I want to believe it's because she is a future doctor but I know in my heart it's because the baby dolls are anatomically correct and to her that is hilarious. Even Ben excitedly came over to me w a naked doll and said "peepee" as he laughed. He has learned from the finest.
The end of day parade. You should've seen Jackie shaking her bum. That girl has rhythm.
Carousel.

Painting Chinese characters. This was all Chinese New Year themed.
Again.
The subway car.

I have more pics of this day to upload. Just gotta get to it.
The weekend was cold and boring. My girls roughhouse like crazy. Ben joins.
Hilly drew Mike Wasowski from Monsters Inc wearing a dress.
Monday morning was rough. Just rough.
Yoga yesterday. How cool is this exercise?

Snow Day

In lieu of me having to trek in the snow later, I sent the girls out w Jim to shovel.

The pics below were taken by Jim this morning:
Cartoons in bed with sippy cups and coffee is how every single morning is started.
Jack:
Hill:
This one lasted longer and wanted to continue playing, unsurprisingly. Jack was not liking her cold hands. Amen to that.

Vday and Pres Day festivities

So here is an example of how symbiotic Jack is w P. Their idea of a good time is reading a book together. Also today she came over and Jack had like the smallest cut in the world. P and her treated it like it was a severed limb. They will just sit on the couch and hold hands among everyone yet they also don't hold each other back from other friendships. They aren't jealous.  I am an expert in female friendships- seriously.  I am a girl's girl. I have always had a ton of besties and have had the same friends since forever and have made some awesome ones in the meantime.  This is one healthy friendship that will last forever. I feel it in my bones. I digress.
Here are my kiddos on movie night.
My kiddos playing. Spotted by my little man.
Jack at gym. Her petite build kills me. She is the cutest little peanut.
Lala, Ben and Hannie.
I am really sad Ben's overalls are getting too small. Waaaaah!
Hill told me she is Valentine Girl.
Bath time sometime this weekend.

Below is my fave. They get each other.
Daddy brought them roses for Vday.

How fun.
Dada took Jack to swim and lunch at the HAC on Sat. She was sooooooooo proud to show him her skillz. Damn straight. Those skills cost a fortune!
Whatever day it snowed. Ben touched snow and was furious at Jim afterward. Snow sucks. I'm with ya Ben.

Sunday I was desperate for us all to get out so we hit up the gym and I signed up the girls for "open gym" for a small fee. They basically had a private lesson which was nice bc when Hill got silly and refused to listen I leaned over the bar and said "Hillary. The instructor can and will give you a time out of not listening." Guess who shaped up? The instructor said "They are young! Do you want them to go the full hour?" Hell yes. I want them passed out cold on the way home! Tire them out!!!!!
Multimedia by Jack. This cracked me up.
We watched Evelyn today and then P and crew came over.
Benny and Lala. He loves her.
Ev is a natural leader.  They all were more than willing to comply.
My girl before her gym class. Betsy had her baby today which was really exciting for the kids. Jack thanked God tonight for baby Kate and also for Betsy's bravery being cut open during her c-section which I found precocious. Alright, going to bed. Praying for no snow tomorrow because being snowbound is not my cup of tea if you haven't noticed on this blog. I want to do fun stuff. Also, some new Hilly phrases:

Hilly, do you want waffles? Hill: I sure do!
After I ask a question: "I'm not quite sure..."
"Mommy, remember that time we went to Disney World?"
"Trick or treat, smell my feet, everything good to eat" morphed into "trick or treat. Smell my feet. My underwear." Close.
Both girls also sit on the magna doodle drawing people's butts. Or boobies. Basically being inappropriate. Yet they are getting along. My 2 little pervs. Tough call: being appropriate or being friends. I confess if it sticks to butts I pretend I don't hear. If it gets more explicit I call out "no potty talk!" And make sure it ends.

Dentist and school Vday party

Jack's teacher took this pic of her and her bestie P eating rice w chopsticks.
An old married couple, these 2.
Sunday we had a sprinkle for Betsy, which was super fun. Below, the kiddos.
That night at Grammy and P's:

I love these action shots.
Monday at yoga.
Mon night at gym.
Benny and his pal Sam. Ben is always super pumped to see Sam. Sam sort of prefers to be on his own, but was happy to see Ben brought snacks.
Tues morning.
Dentist adventures. Jack went in 1 room, me in the other w Ben on my lap. Hilly ran between the rooms giving me instructions. "Sit still mommy!" "Open wide!"
Benny in the hallway.
When the dentist came to look at H's teeth, she left out the longest toot ever. An anxiety toot. Hysterical.

At the HAC yesterday afternoon.
Benny loves watching older kids play sports. This 10 year old was kicking a soccer ball and Benny was enthralled.

Baths.

Today the girls had their valentines party at school. I've never really been into this holiday and last year considered the valentines a bit of a hassle. But this year they wrote their valentines out (kind of), I wasn't a perfectionist, Hilly wanted to know into whose bag she was dropping each valentine and Jackie did the same. When we got home they sat at the table and just gorged themselves on the treats and examined all the valentines. It was actually really fun!
