The Week of the Car Accident

Started out innocently enough, as evidence below - or perhaps foreshadowed below- by the blonde laying on the couch next to 6 Shopkins eggs. Haha 

Just a pic of Benny I couldn't resist taking. Hilly has swimmer's ear and now says all the time "I have an ear inflection!" 

Below is not only our olive oil and liquor and protein collection, but also a beautiful lighthouse Benny and I scored at goodwill for $3. He also got a $1 batman tshirt. We were just looking for ceramic bowls- which we found. And more, as you can see. 

Hill had swimming Mon night and Wed night for make ups. So we ate dinner at the HAC 3 nights last week.

This is Wednesday. Em and Hill are playing in background and Benny is in foreground w another little boy. I saw them and thought Cute! Benny made a friend! Then I watched more closely and saw that little boy TRYING to play w Ben and Ben sort of hoarding his puzzles and pretending that sweet little boy didn't exist. When I spoke w Ben about this incident he explained to me that that little boy is not his friend. Geez!! Wtf? I lectured him on not being mean and making friends. We'll see. 

Ash Wednesday. Jack was SO excited. I asked her why she kept touching her forehead and rubbing all the ashes off. She said "I'm too excited! It was just my first time!!"

Em and Hill at gym in Thurs. Em came with us and they had a blast. 

This is where our fender bender happened. Hilly was asleep but Jack wasn't. In short, I turned around to yell at Jack for being mean to Ben and coasted into the car in front of me. 

When we got home a great distraction was Jack completing her own Valentine's. She did it all by herself and enjoyed remembering and writing everyone's name and also her own. Go Jack! 

I loved Benny's outfit so much on Fri I had to capture it. 

Friday the girls had dance and Em came with us to the HAC and we had a really good time. Our friends helped us get there since we were operating w a much smaller car, etc... I don't have pics bc I was still depressed about the accident. 

Sat night we had tickets to the UD men's basketball game at Hofstra. Jack and Ben were totes into the game. Hilly was into the hot dogs and popcorn. Ben said to me afterwards "that was a really good game, mom."
