Beautiful Weather

This post has been a long time coming but mostly just because we have been spending a lot of time at playgrounds and swimming and out front and out back. It has been luxurious.

Last weekend I stepped out of the shower to find my little bookworm. Both of my girls are bookworms. Still working on Benny, but I'm confident it's coming.
Below, pool time.  Benny is mostly content to sit at the side of the pool w his toys but this passed Thurs he was wading out further and it was terrifying. He wasn't into a puddle jumper so this means it's time for lessons.  I've sort of been of the mind that I will wait for lessons until they ask but he doesn't have even the slightest familiarity w being under water so maybe it's time.
There are Jackie and Em playing like crazy in the deeper water. Jack's last lesson was 2 Thursdays ago. She already misses them but what she misses the most is quality alone time with a girl as cool and funny as Miss Sasha. One on one time lessons aren't cheap! She also asked for private tennis lessons. Dream on, kiddo.

Playing outside w the fairy garden.
Sunday morning playground time before tennis.

Jack was soooo nervous but last minute her friend from school, Lily, showed up and legit saved the day. Woohoo!
Not only did Jack like it but she was proud of herself too.
Before tennis- I took the girls for ice cream. They both got gummy worms and gummy bears on their ice cream. So gross.

Sat night Miss Nada from the HAC babysat and the kids LOVED her. Especially Ben. They are buds.
Sunday night at Grammy and Pops celebrating Jim and Grammy's birthdays.
Elsa slept through the cake and ice cream.

Monday morning brought many tears when it came to Jack leaving for school. Hilly cried all morning because she missed Jackie.
Benny and I hit up BJ's. He turned around mid-trip and told me not to forget the orange juice.
Waiting to pick Hill up from school.
Tuesday playground play date w Hannah.

Thursday gym class. We hit up a local food court for lunch. Best fries ever, btw. Skin still on. Deliciousness.
Friday morning I just cleaned like crazy. Benny follows me everywhere I go but he did get caught up in this book.
After picking Hilly up from school we all congregate at this luxurious oasis.
Composting.
Filthy nap time.
On walk to pick up Jack.
A hot mess before ballet
Jack drew this in school and I can't get over it.
OJ on a Saturday AM while the girls have gymnastics.
Alright signing off. Laziest Sunday morning ever before Jack's 2nd tennis lesson. Wish us luck.

Up and Running

Below is our first and only fam pic of the 5 of us. Thanks to Katie's friend for taking the pic and to Katie for orchestrating it.  Getting everyone picture ready, including yourself, is an exhausting endeavor. It's seriously like the worst. So I don't take the existence of this miracle lightly. Don't expect another one any time soon.
When we got home from NYC, Benny was sporting his Iron Man mask from Griffin and in a zone w his animals. I love when he doesn't stuff like this. Of all my kids, he is the worst at independent play- but he will do it and when he does it's really cute.
Bath time that night.
The next morning. Hilly dressed to the nines, eating pancakes. In my bed.
Jim and I were both super sick this week with what felt like pneumonia for me and a bad head cold for him. Our kids were perfectly healthy though thankfully. Jim captured this pic of Benny napping in our bed.
On Tuesday Hill and I walked to pic of Jack from school (Ben slept since Jim was home sick). Hill bossed around Benny's friend Drew like crazy.
Face swap.
Wed we booked it to our monthly dinner at grandma's (we missed Feb and March due to car accidents and.... Not sure what else). But I am so happy we got back into it. Poppop set out he trampoline and kid stuff in the yard and the kids ran around playing like crazy.
At one point I walk in and poppop and the kids were all eating hot dogs and drinking iced tea. Hahaha

As usual, hysterical tears upon leaving
