Monster Trucks and the Last Everything

Below is Hilly on her last swim lesson of the school year. She graduated from tadpoles to frogs. She loves swimming, man.
She also loves her dance costume and has worn it at least 2x every day since the recital.  The girls work hard to learn each other's routines- mostly so they can ruin each other's solo performance attempts. The joy of sisters!
Like father, like son.
Lou is genetically a beagle. Completely. Money well spent.
End of year picnic for Hilly's school. I would've loved to have stayed longer but it was insanely hot and I forgot to bring water. Duh.
Drew was in the 2 class this year and next year Ben will join him in the 3 class.
Best buds, man. They totally keep to themselves and are off in their own world.

We picked up Jack and hit up Emmaus to celebrate Con's birthday and see his baseball game.
But first he wowed them w the world of videogames.
I couldn't resist this pic of Jack and Jim at the water fountain at the game. So Americana.
These 2 goons. I could hear their laughter from the bleachers.
Next day: Monster Trucks.

They rode on a monster truck in the ring, as did Jim. So he can take that off his bucket list.
I never would've enjoyed this as a child.

But watching this guy-- I LOVED being there.
I took Ben for a lemonade - he loves sugary drinks. As we drank it by the lemonade stand in he shade, he said "let's go drink this by the trucks." He was worried we would miss something.
Hilly hated it but Jackie was okay with it.
That night- bbq w the neighbors!!

Sunday picnic at Grandpa Lee's.

Ben cuddling w his new blanket showing his Lehigh Valley pride.
Slept w his new shin guards on.
Relaxed w them on.
Picking up from school on Tues. Hill dressed for the occasion.

Wed we picked Em up from school and hit up Pet Smart to view the hamsters. It was clear after seeing a baby hammy like Macaroni that Mack was not a baby when we got him. I couldn't get another one though. At least 1 kid cries about Mack every day and God forbid this new hamster die, I would lose my mind listening to the wailing.

We buried Mack on Sunday before the picnic and it was really sad and upsetting. Jack insisted on placing his frozen body in his little cardboard box coffin, they all kissed his "shell," tears tears tears.
Em and the kids made a pizza for lunch before the play date at Aunt Megan's down the street w Ev.

Just a shot of my girl.
Last KMC dance class (she won't be in this recital- it would just be too much)
Her class. This class was great. Hill had so much fun.
She passed out on way home, as did Benny after his gym class.

Dance Recital Mania

Ok so below are pics of rehearsals, recitals, backstage at recitals (I was A backstage mom for the toy show), and pics of Benny while the girls were at the tot show and pics of Hannie and Hilly and Ben while the older girls were at the older show. Jack was in both shows.

Oh and also a pic of Jack's spring concert. Lisa and I hired a babysitter for our little ones so we could watch the entire thing. And watch it, we did.

Jack's class bonded hardcore. I didn't anticipate this before the winter concert and it carried forth to be a great class for Jack and a great group of girls.

We did a zoo day the Tues after the recita. But first we fed the ducks outside. At one point Benny was surrounded by hissing geese and just started crying.

Pouting at the zoo.

Friends again.

Playground weather has returned.
