Broken dishes and poop

It all started with typical morning play-
And escalated into a dog breaking a dish
And an errant poop in the playroom. With 3 kids screaming in utter panic and excitement over each thing. Rumor has it that Ben touched the poop but now everyone denies it.
Jack playing the uke for her siblings
After the gym on Tues and before field hockey, I declared sibling bonding day. As in- I am cleaning so find something to do.
Jim was able to come to Jack's field hockey so Ben was pumped he had a soccer buddy.

hill and Penelope coloring- entertaining the troops has been challenging but I can't get enough of the beauty of an open field. I love summer.
Wed we went to Will and Drew's for morning coffee.
Awesome having friends a block away.
Payton and Hannah came to play all afternoon before field hockey.
Cara brought crafts which were an enormous hit.

as were the goats that pooped and peed like crazy.

Summer Weekend, Missing Grandma

Grandma D has been gone for well over a week and we are lost. Nary an email. The kids are starting to get antsy.

So Ben wore his Captain America tshirt from Gma to make himself feel better.
Playing w the bunny. Today hill said to me "Mommy, can you take the bunny back? Jackie won't play princesses w me because she only wants to play with the bunny." This was after they had played nonstop from 7am- noon today nonstop. Hilly is a needy sister.

But on Satueday they were both having a blast w Corncob.
Sunday AM we went to my friend Mer's house for sprinkler fun.
And fed her fish.

It was like 90 degrees at 9am and I LOVED it.
Sunday afternoon I took P and Jack ice skating to practice their skills. This was a new rink and dark and flashy so it took them awhile to warm up.
But they loved it. Jack insisted they skate in the middle and P finally agreed.
They were laughing and having a great time and I was so proud i could have cried.

Sweaty Ben at Grammt and Pops Sun evening.
Jack took this pic of Ben.
Ben took this of Jax.
Hilly eating apple pie.
Jackie brushing Hill's hair. Ever since I bought them the wet brush, they love brushing hair. Woohoo!
Waiting for Jack to finish her uke lesson.
Watching big sis.
Jack took this pic of me doing what i do best: driving my minivan!
And today was her first day of her weeklong field hockey clinic. She was terrified and upset but ended up loving learning how to play. While I would be surprised if she was okay w the contact aspect of the sport, I'm really proud of her today for giving it a try! They warmed up and ran laps in the beginning. It was so cute. She told me how hard she worked. I love her so much.
Jack showing dada her new skills on the ukelele. She knows 2 chords and is working on the Individual notes.

Birthday Party, Safety Town

We started out Sat AM w some pottery painting and chik-FIL-a for kennedy's birthday party. Super cool party idea and the girls were really into it.

Had to include this pic. I love it- she looks so old.
And again...
Some face swap horrors.
Lunch?

Monday ukelele lesson:
Every morning this week they also had Safety Town. Jack's final year and Hilly's first year. They LOVED it.

Again, same old crew in their group.

Coffee to get through week. After safety camp was also a reading class each day this week- taught by my friend Betsy.
Sigh..
Safety Town graduation w these 2 goons in the audience.
