Yesterday (the 9th month birthday of one of my starlets) our Dutch picnic was postponed due to inclement weather. Devastation ensued. But the grilling must go on.
Thick as thieves, these 2. Jim was grilling, Jax was following Louie, I was enjoying my adult beverage when I looked over and found these 2 deep in companionship.
Hannie often sits near Hilly, letting Hilly pull on her fur. If I were Hannie, I would run in the opposite direction. Hilly is strong and ruthless in her grip.
Below we have my free little spirit Jax. Lately she's been removing her diaper during naps. We walk into to find a blindingly white bum scurrying across the crib.
The sisters themselves. I looked in Jax's baby book. I don't know what she weighed at 9 months, but at 1 year she weighed 18 pounds. I love their little differences.
For full disclosure, we started letting Hilly cry it out (or CIO in parenting talk). It is hell. As I write this, she is upstairs crying. This feels very unnatural- it's heartbreaking as she just wants to hang with us. That's all. But, I'm also insane, soo... I'm following popular opinion on this one and taking comfort in that as a result of letting Jackie CIO, she sleeps for over 12 hours a night.
