Summer Weather in October

Jackie has been talking about the boardwalk all winter and all this summer.  Therefore, when we saw this weekend was going to be beautiful, we knew we had to make her dreams come true.  And she had a blast.

Hill still dislikes sand, but did venture off the towel to play in it after an hour of fussing.  She also needed a nap and fell asleep on the way to the pool. In her sleep she yelled "Nemo!!"

Before we left we stopped in Rehoboth for pizza and to walk the boardwalk.  Hilly was just screaming "Peesta! Peesta!" And when we got on the boardwalk Jackie started jumping and dancing while screaming "The BOARDWALK! We are on the BOARDWALK!"  Truth be told, in that weather, I could've done the same.

The rides were closed but literally everything else was open.  Everything.  There was a little arcade so we played some games and rode some of those budget rides.

And then we did the photobooth.  Ben was there!  He was in the Ergo.  In fact, he was there this entire trip.  I just don't have pictures of him or of Grammy and Pops either because our hands were so full at all times.

Oh, wait.  Here's a pic of Ben screaming the whole ride home.  I consider this a Shoemaker family tradition, as rumor has it Uncle Mickey used to scream the entire ride wherever they went when he was little.
