Halloween Parade 2016

The kids' 3-class teacher has this awesome solar system song that begins 'The sun's a hot star, mercury is hot too... etc.' so Hilly asked what she should draw the other day and I said "The solar system."  I was pretty impressed with what she came up with.  Each planet is drawn just the way the song describes it.  Go H!
Friday AM we gave Monk our fave newfie a walk and fed him his breakfast of kibble and ground chicken- heated as per his preference.  Words cannot express my love for this prehistoric beast.  We had so much fun.
Friday after school- swimming lessons for my gal.
We also went to a very quick play date up the street- the mother let Ben take 2 superheros home with him since he slept through most of the playdate.  He was soooo happy.
Jack and Ben helped cook dinner.  Their specialty- mac and cheese.
This is the sight of Ben/s room as I remove summer clothes and bring forth winter clothing. It is an intense week long process filled with a ton of interruption.
Field hockey bright and early, Sat AM.  Jack FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY got aggressive on that field.  Nothing crazy, but watching her actually go for that ball was awesome.  I know she has a fire in her belly.  I just know it.

Blake's birthday at Chuck E. Cheese
This is the first time the girls have been here since they are older and they had so much fun with all the games and stuff.

That night we hit up the Halloween Parade, arguably one of my favorite traditions.  Below are my adorable nephews in their pokemon costumes.
These 2 goons, life of the party.
I forgot Jack/s costume so we walked to CVS for a new one and she chose.... the bunny.  What are you gonna do??

Aunt Jeanette did the make up of all the ladies in the house.

My phone died so this is the only pic I have of the crew watching the parade.  Parker ran in the 5k in the beginning as usual.  I asked Benny his fave part of the parade and he said when Parker ran and also the karate guys.  The girls liked the Nemo float.
