Anyway, she arrived at 11:01pm, 1 minute after one of many tornado warnings ended in this area. She would have been considered "full term" if she would have held off her arrival for 59 more minutes. But, alas, we have learned that this is not her way.
Jackie met her a couple of days later at the hospital. We planned to delay their meeting, but I missed Jackie so much I couldn't wait to see her any longer. Jackie was mildly interested in "baby," but she was also a little cranky. She helped me eat my gross hospital dinner- she loved the cooked carrot wheels (??) and biscuit (??). It was like a Dinty Moore (sp?) beef stew. So gross. Anyway, Jax liked it just fine.
Since we came home on Monday, we kept Jackie in daycare full time because we are getting new windows, have doctor appointments, etc.. and we didn't want to treat Jax like a 2nd class citizen in the meantime. We have kept her schedule completely the same. But I hate being at home without her. It isn't the same!
Hillary was 6 lbs. 5 oz. and 19.5 inches long. When we left the hospital she was 6 lbs. 1 oz, and the following day (Tuesday) at her first doctor appointment she was 6 obs. 3 oz. She has one more weight check next week. Hopefully, she passes the test and is good to go!
She is a sweet baby and reminds me in many ways of Jackie as a baby. Neither of them like their arms swaddled and they both mew like little kittens at night when they are waking up to eat. Hillary was called a "laid back baby" by the doctor. I hope she continues to be laid back- for our sake, as well as for hers!!
Anyway, we couldn't feel happier or more blessed. She is the sweetest little thing.
