As evidenced above and below, our 8-day vacation was off to a rocky start at 530AM. Every parent's dream.
But as the week wore on, I grew to enjoy taking the girls for a morning stroll on the boardwalk, upon which there was never a dull moment.
Back at the homefront, the girls played with cousin Con-man's vast toy and train collection. I wish I had more pics of everyone down here- or even any pics- but there was so much going on I completely forgot to capture the moment. It was a packed house, and Jax and Hilly had a blast hanging with their aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins.
Gma D-ster and I determined that at this age, Hilly is not a beach lover and Jackie did a great job of "tolerating" the beach. I am proud to say that we received a compliment from a woman sitting behind us on the beach one day. She said that she's never before seen such wonderfully behaved children at the beach. "They just sit there and play." I was grateful for this compliment- I was wary of Hilly's whining at that point. But it really wasn't so bad. :)
Anyway, we had a seriously awesome time, as you will see from the pics I post. Jax and Hilly could've sat in their strollers riding up and down the b-walk for hours. They are huge people-watchers.
