Chairs

See my teenage Uncle C in the ruffled tux?  Hard to miss, I know.  But the focus is the red chair in the background!

See below:

We acquired the red chair and the awesome green chair- which is from the 1920s, at least.  Jim and Jax were downstairs first this morning and Jax immediately said to me, "Mama, that chair comfy."  I thought she meant the red chair, but when I asked "Which chair?"  she got up and ran over to the green one.  It is velvet.  Grandma E had it reupholstered (I think it was a chair from Gma Vermont - Gpa E's mom) because it used to have a huge peacock on the front.  Ummm... hello- that would be amazingly awesome.  Anyway, Grandma E is moving, so I selected these treasures from her home.  Not sure about the history of the red chair- but it's been in the family for a long, long time and it is here to stay.   Not sure where in our home I will place them yet, but I'm psyched.

Also, Aunt Betty got the girls a Halloween gift: an awesome mat!!  The big box came addressed to them and Jax was dancing around it as I opened it.  Then she saw 3 spiders and was delighted.  She made us keep the mat in her room for the evening.  Thanks, Aunt B!!!!
