Summa

One random day in July or August I busted out the old Canon Rebel and took some pics of my girls in the playroom doing what they do best.  At this particular age, it is easier to photograph Hilly because she is not averse to smiling for the camera.  With Jax, it is a crap shoot.  I mean, she's 2.  What do you expect?  Also, she's perfect.
I can tell just by looking at the playroom, etc... and remembering every single day this past summer that it was hotter than Hades.  Speaking of, I was listening to my favorite pod cast the other day and I learned that when Christ was spoke of "hell" he would refer to the city dump outside Jerusalem where all the garbage was burned.  So that's why people are like, "Hell is hot."  Rumor has it that hell is actually a perpetual state of longing for something very badly.  Well, this summer, I longed pretty badly for a cooler day.
 So did Lou.
It is one thing to be wearing flip flops, a tank top and a skirt, grabbing your bag and keys and hopping into a car to go wherever you have to go.

It is quite another to be carrying 2 toddlers at the same time to the car, strapping them into a million degree car (and one of them will inevitably do something to make this more difficult- like take off their shoes and drop them on the sidewalk or something) - all the while being eaten alive by tiger mosquitos that have infested your area of town like crazy.  It is heaven on earth, let me tell you.  What I wouldn't have paid for a cool breeze at times.
So we played inside.... sometimes with the large blue ball.

At the store on Friday a hispanic check out girl said laughing and in a strong accent after examining my girls, "That little one is more mischievous than the older one.  Look!  You can see it in her smile." Hillers, are you going to give me gray hairs?  Please be as kind as possible about it, please.  Don't drive with anyone driving intoxicated or speeding, and please never text and drive.  Also, never drink irresponsibly or do drugs.

Above is my favorite picture of Jax from the whole summer, I think.  She is her father's twin.
Lou!!!!
