Below are the kids hiding in Carol's basement while the adults hide eggs. Aunt J snapped this pic:
My fave part is this- the kids gaining familiarity. This is not something to take for granted. Genuine connections.
Here is Hillers herself during the egg hunt. Enthusiastic if nothing else.
The adults, living large.
Benny really got into it.
The piñata- also a huge hit and its awesome that my cousins maintain the tradition.
Pre-piñata.
Some of the attempts at hitting it:
Marybeth finally broke it and everyone dove for the candy except Ben, who was overwhelmed by the pressure.
We miss you, Grandpa.
We got home and the kids were ecstatic to see dada who has been at trial forever.
On Sunday we went to see Mulan Jr at the local JCC.
It was super cute and did not disappoint. So glad we went.
We celebrated the first day of spring w Rita's.
Everyone was tasting each other's ice and it was really cute.
That night we went to Grammy and Pops where the kids spotted a stink bug and almost lost their minds.
Below is Hill the next morning before school. Totally in character.
Jack had her semi-annual box top shop and courtesy of Aunt J, Aunt Smoddy and what I managed to collect, she had 121 box tops to redeem for gifts at the box top shop. Such a highlight in her school year.
I broke out all our spring clothes and put away the heavy winter stuff. It was a legit fear and very satisfying.
Immediately my girls put on their fave spring ensembles. Obvi. They are girls, afterall.
