Last night as the kids anxiously awaited Gma, they colored and sang together, which cracked me up. It was just so cute. Here is our dining room all filled with furniture for the new house.
Gma came and we ordered pizza and rented The Secret Life of Pets and Gma babysat so Jim and I could hit up a friend's house for dinner. The next AM Jack and Gma and Hill studied a book in bed.
While I made coffee, Benny brought down some shopkins. We seriously have 2 sets of toys to play with: superheroes and shopkins. So he has started pretending that he is a giant and these are his minions.
While buying throws to stage the house, I bought a more expensive one bc I knew it would be extra soft. And it is!!! I always hide it and all the kids are super onto me. Then LOU found it! This beagle. We think she def has an ACL injury so while I did kick her off this blanket, I washed HER blanket and just wrapped it around her on the floor nice and warm, fresh out of the dryer. We took both dogs on a half hour walk tonight so they are exhausted.
ANYWAY, this morning we went with Gma to the aquarium in Camden and met up with Uncle B, Sheena, Blake and baby Payton. We got there early, so we pet some sharks real quick. Or, rather, I did (Jack did later). In general, Benny wasn't too into touching sea life.
And we also checked out some small penguins.
And a large fish.
And watched the African penguins eat fish. (feeding time happened to be at 11:15 and Uncle B and crew weren't there yet).
So we quick fed the kids lunch.
And then they arrived. First stop were the hippos: Jenny and Button. They were outside the water, which was totally exciting. So huge!
These 4 were really cute.
Jelly fish.
The shark tunnel.
The shark bridge- Benny was terrified and not having it.
This is the pool where the kids touched a sea anemone, sea cucumber, starfish and a prawn.
We all did, actually. The sea anemone and sea cucumbers were so soft. Like the softest blankets ever. Like my new expensive blanket that everyone in the house finds and steals.
There was a chaotic kid floor with those cool things you can put your head in. The coolest ones though were at the Bronx Zoo with the prairie dogs.
Then we watched an Octonauts 3D film. Totes boring. The predators film was 10 minutes after this and I totally wanted to watch another one- but I was outvoted.
We had pretty much seen everything but this last tank did not disappoint. That white fish below loved the kids. He would swim away for a second and return immediately. Such a social little dude.
That turtle was awesome. He just hung out and checked out the people the entire time. Just like Crush.
He loved him some baby Payton.
We got home and sadly Gma left. We were all depressed so after I cleaned the main floor of the house as best I could with all the moving boxes, etc... we took the dogs for a walk.
And it was just so pretty.
