On Sunday morning we dropped the hounds off at the kennel. When I got back in the car, Jackie said to me, 'Mama, my crying Louie and Hannie.' She was sad that we were leaving them somewhere. Jim wasn't sad, I can tell you that.
The weather wasn't warm enough to go to the beach or the pool, but it was perfect for a walk to get ice cream and look at swans. Jim has some good pics on his phone of this. I need to raid his phone tonight. Jackie insisted on pushing her own stroller home.
Tried to feed Hilly baby food- lasagna. She didn't like it.
I told Jax to "Smile" and this is the face she made. Haha
The girls slept in pack n plays side by side. Jackie loved it, but Hilly didn't sleep too well. Her pack n play was too small and she kept waking up. I don't even know if I actually slept that night. While we were eating dinner through Hilly's screams, we heard Jackie speaking in a soothing voice to Hilly, trying to calm her down.
What I really love is how when something is exciting to them- like being out to eat or being happy in the car, the first person Jax will squeal to/with, is Hilly. And they just laugh at each other in excitement. A lot of my friends have their 2nd child 22-30 months apart, but I'm happy that at 2 1/2, Jackie has a best friend.
