Recent Sayings/Fav Toys

When Hilly's feeling relaxed, this is how she chews on her paci- probably because her teeth hurt and she's busy playin', yo.  Her favorite toys are the remote control, balls, electrical outlets and anything Jackie has.  Instead of sit and nicely play like Jack did, she is more rough- empties a whole box by picking it up and throwing it and then gets pissed off that it's not automatically filled so she can throw it again.  Jack took things out one by one and examined each piece. She recently started blowing raspberries, which I'm pretty psyched about.  She still says "Dada" and we yell back and forth back at each other.  Awesome.  Also, she will rip your face off.  It's out of love, but she will rip your face off.  She clings to you like a koala bear.

Jack's current favorite toys are her animal legos from Aunt Donna and these dress up dolls from Grandpa and Nana.  She LOVES Green Eggs and Ham (I never liked that book, which I am finding very unfortunate because I read it many times a week.  A month ago, I hid it.).  She still loves to dance to Taylor Swift and her latest thing is taking her baby doll for a walk in her baby stroller around the neighborhood.  She loves loves baby dolls these days.  She has been saying "Don't like him" to me in front of any man with facial hair.  She now gets time outs for it and then to compensate she says loudly to men with facial hair, "Mama, my like him!"  So I say, "That is very nice, Jackie, but we don't always need to tell people how we feel about them."  I think this is  my fault because during the day, much of our conversation is, "Do you like this/that/the other thing?"  And it's about, like, cereal or her new friend at school.  But, whatever.  She also still loves to talk about boobies.  It makes Jim mad but, I mean, let's face it- it's hilarious.  If you don't think so, well, then I must be married to you.  Maybe Jim will get lucky and Hillary won't love to talk about boobies as much.   Also, I think it's just the way kids are because my friend Nat thought Jack's fascination with boobies was funny and taught her son "boobies" and she said he immediately burst out laughing.  I think we were born to find them funny.  It's in our DNA.  So it's not my fault.  And, frankly, I know Jim and I think he still secretly finds boobies funny.  I digress.  Jackie still says "Sit down!"  when she wants you to play.  She also says, "Maaaan!" when she drops something.  Lately I've been catching her saying, "Oh my God" which isn't ideal.  I correct her and say, "You mean, 'Oh my goodness'"  And she says, "My goodness!"  Perhaps there's hope for her lost soul yet.  She still waffles between Elmo and Thomas and today we revisited Yo Gabba Gabba, which was a nice change of pace.  Hilly is a Sesame Street loyalist.  I'm thinking for her first birthday I will make 2 cakes: Bert and Ernie.  How cool would that be?  I think her first love is me, so maybe I should make a self-portrait cake for her first birthday.  Wouldn't that be funny? Would you think it was weird?  I think I'm onto something here.

Umm.. I think that about covers it.  If you made it through this entry and you are not my mom, you get a reward.
