Captain America Birthday

The lighting in Ben's room is just my fave.  And from my fave chair there is no better place to capture my little people.
Penelope and Hilly deep in concentration.  We all call her Pelentope.
Fave chair again.

A conversation between sisters. I could listen to their conversations all day. They always take what each other says so seriously. I especially love when they are conveying to each other new information. I guess because sometimes Hilly talks crazy (in my opinion) but Jackie doesn't take it as crazy talk. She corrects her and tries to get her to clarify. I think I'm going to start doing this as well. Or try to- because on hour 12 at 8pm- I just want everyone to pipe down and go to sleep!

Benny busily playing cars. He is finally starting to play alone sometimes.
Thursday we met up w P and crew at Hagley, a local museum. I thought it was one building but it's actually like an entire historical area- with multiple buildings and tours, etc. and miniature villages. Dude, I love miniature stuff. Anyway, mental note to return soon. The kids were free- and I see why. Their interest level in a gunpowder museum isn't exactly high.
Benny loudly rolling his cars, right before we bowed out of the group tour.
Jack and her girl P.
All of us group tour drop outs- waiting for the bus to the cafe.
Jack drew Benny a ninja turtles poster for Benny's birthday party.
Friday- trip to BJs for pending parties.
Jack helping me prepare food for party.
The cake which got jacked up in the fridge. Still identifiable so it passed muster.
The appetizer spread.
Dancing to that darn skeleton!

One of hilly's many outfit changes.

After the party, Benny lined up his trucks and dinos. He calls the dinosaurs he knows "sauruses."

Post party
Benny changed into his new superhero T from Gma.

A pic snapped from Aunt J of present opening. She is the best.
The lantern. Books. Bedtime. Sisters.
