Day Trip to the Beach #2

After the ballet finale, Em and I packed up the kids after lunch and hightailed it to the beach to meet our friends. 

Everyone played really well and had fun- going in the water, building sand castles, etc 

Then we hit up the Green Turtle restaurant on the boardwalk. 

Before heading to Funland for some rides. 

This did not disappoint. We unexpectedly ran into Betsy and crew which was obviously exciting. Delaware is so small- you will always see people you know at Funland. 

Benny was really nervous to try anything without me. So together we rode on the carousel and then Kyle helped him overcome his fears on the trucks. Then he was fine. 

Em and my friend Amy's daughter went on the haunted house. I wanted so badly to go with them! Next time for sure! 

Benny was all about Jackie this evening. It was really cute how nurturing she was being with him. 

Then we got ice cream on the beach. This is the first time I've let them order actual cones. This might have been my favorite part of the trip. 

Em convinced us to grab Thrasher's fries on the way out and she was so right. I forgot how good those fries are. 

The ride home was quick and peaceful. This was truly one of the best days of the summer.
