Pool and Art Museum

On Thursday the kids had their first day back at KMC for the short summer session. Ben went first and the girls and I had fun watching him. He cried at first but then he was cool with it. Afterwards I asked if he wanted to return and with his adorable lisp he responded "Thure."

I can't remember if last week was reading camp. Every day is just so insane it is affecting my memory.

In any event, it appears we were at the pool on Thurs after gymnastics.
The girls clinging to each other beneath the buckets that pour water.
Boys being boys, below.
These 2 goons- Hannie and corncob- have become the best of friends. The rabbit is obsessed w Hannie. He lays in front of him while Hannie licks corncob's ears.
Lou just chills.
Oh, we went to the Habitat for Humanity restore because I love their book selection- it's 10 cents a book! Anyway, Hilly asked for this bear. It's a 15 year old beanie baby bear, I think. She LOVES it. Whhhhyyyy??
Friday morning we hit up the art museum story time.
We ran into many kids we knew, which is always fun, and we met up with Cara and crew.
In truth I didn't listen to a word of the book and I don't remember much but the theme was I believe geometric shapes??? There was a moment though that I was telling my friend Cara about. Every child was listening and calm and for a solid few minutes I got to listen to this lady speak about art and all I thought about was the artwork. It was magic.
More clay creations.

The children's room. This room has a great book collection
The girls had a chance to say a quick goodbye to Payton and crew before vacation Friday evening.

The weekend:

Attempting to practice field hockey at the park before hitting up the flea market.

Milkshakes at the flea market.

Another magical moment. 3 very well behaved kids just chilling and chatting over milkshakes. I was so proud.

Naps.

Lunch.
Play.

Jim also took the girls to the driving range which I will post pictures of shortly.
Saturday night sitting in hall to keep Ben company as he fell asleep.
It didn't work. I went downstairs and he screamed and cried. This is what happens when my kids nap these days. Not good.

Walking to our fave restaurant.
