The main purpose of this post today is to ask for your prayers. Below, as we all know, is one of my beloved grandmothers. This picture was from her and my grandpa's 60th wedding anniversary. She was in the hospital for pneumonia and anemia. They released her from the hospital a few weeks ago, but she's back in for a low blood count. She is internally bleeding somewhere. Please pray for her recovery- that it is just an ulcer or something that can easily be treated with medication. The world doesn't have enough grandmothers who like to tell dirty jokes, so we must hold on to the ones we have! From what I hear, Grandpa has been holding up the fort and taking care of Grandma like a true Dutch champ. On Saturday I hope to drink a Coors Light with Grandpa and to listen to Grandma tell me about all her handsome male doctors! She doesn't have the internet, so she doesn't read this blog, but I love you, Grandma!
