T-giving with Dad's family

More on this particular picture below...
Alright, I'm going to go ahead and give myself an A+ for Jackie's outfit for this particular familial gathering.. I bought this adorable plaid skirt when she was 3 months old. I patiently waited almost 2 years to bust it out.

Onwards and upwards... Jackie stole cousin Connor's sunglasses with glee. Connor scratched his head, probably weighing whether he gave a crap.
Once she was through wreaking havoc on Connor's patience, she moved onto cousin Parker- who she cries for ALL THE TIME recently. Parker is trying to watch sports or participate in an adult conversation, pretending not to feel Jackie's eyes burning a hole into the side of his head. Eventually he relented and played ball with her. It made her day.
Below was Connor telling me in not so many words to leave him the hell alone... but he looked so cute and innocent that I was having trouble. Later that day he appeased me with a hug good-bye.
Something that I didn't anticipate - in terms of having siblings and friends with kids close in age to my own- is how nice it would be that someone else is giving their kid a time out the same time you are giving your child a time out. The whole "giving a time out" in front of a large group of people sucks for the parents just as much. You just want your kid to be good and to enjoy the day. Anyway, company in the time out zone is nice. And Connor and Uncle Mike supply Jackie and myself with time out company on holidays.
