You think YOU have problems?
8:30AM
Me: "Hey Jim... it's pajama day at school, but Jackie really wants to wear her ballerina t-shirt... what do I do?"
Jim, thoughtfully: ".......I don't know.... is it really pajama day?"
Me: "Yes"
Jim: "I can bring a pair in with her and she can change if she wants mid-day."
Me: "Well, sometimes she wears a t-shirt to bed...."
Confession: I haven't done laundry. She has no clean pajamas left. Deadbeat mom alert.
But yesterday was the bomb.
Started out with swimming lessons with Grammy. Jax was crying less and swimming more. Woohoo! Then Dada showed up. It was like the second coming of Christ. I have never seen a little girl more proud to show off her swimming skills than Jax showing her Dada. She kept looking back to make sure he was looking. Barely a whimper as she was swimming little psuedo laps across the pool. And that guy is like putty in her hands, let me tell you.
Then we had lunch with Grammy and Aunt Angie and I had the best turkey sandwich of my life. But this blog isn't about me. Jax loved being with Grammy and playing peek-a-boo with her great aunt. And Hilly also loved the attention, as well as the food- because Hilly is the hungriest baby in the whole world.
Then we went to the zoo with my friend Mer and her son. I basically starved my children for 3 hours and then gave them each frozen lemonade and an ice cream sandwich (yes, my 7 month old - but sans "sandwich") to hold them over til we got home. They were angels the entire time. Anyway, there were no elephants or giraffes, but there were 2 awesome gorillas that Jax is still talking about. What did Jax like the most? A large tractor in the children's area that you could sit on and pretend to drive.
