I sometimes sign onto my mom's fb account to see what my cousins are up to- yes, I'm hijacking my daughters' blog but it's my prerogative (RIP Whitney. She was in my dream last night.). So these are pictures of us & cousins on my dad's side (my Mom's side is awesome too.). I digress. See that crappy pool above? We don't care that there's no water in it. We're happier than h*ll bc we are chilling with the Wetzels.
Above- egg hunt in the backyard in Reading. Below is my mom hanging w the Wetzels. Not even a divorce could keep us apart. Carol and Jenny were my idols. Also, this is why Jax & Hilly won't have bangs: I had enough for my entire family tree combined. The other week, my mom kept trying to sneak bangs down on Jax. I called her out on it and pinned them back up. Strike one, Gma D-ster. You had your turn and you abused it! Too many bangs. Too many bangs.
Anyway, I want Jax & Hilly to look forward to hanging with their cousins like I did (and do). This means- at the very least- Aunt Lauren and Uncle Brian should have Cousin Claire asap. Haha It's also why I got so freaking bummed when Con-man wouldn't show up at family stuff. He's supposed to be Jackie's BFF. I mean... duh. Anyway, this Easter they got to see all her cousins on both sides which was awesome. Cousin Parker even patiently played ball w her for however long she wanted in Aunt D's awesome yard.
Anyway, there is my rant. Cool cousins are essential for life. And, luckily, my girls have 'em on both sides.
