Hillers loves to climb more than just the stairs, as seen above.
And I am seriously loving this cooler weather w the girls. Walks are actually pleasant again. Jax was so adorable. We would stop every 3 feet or so and examine flowers, leaves, rocks and then she'd say, 'Let's keep walking.' She truly is the sweetest little girl.
Her new book bag arrived and she LOVES it. When dada got home, she ran over to ME with the book bag to help her put it on because she wanted to be wearing it when she showed him. So freaking cute. Btw- the book bag was like $40 or so and SO SMALL. Wtf??? I should've gotten the large instead of the medium. If she's wearing medium, though, who the hell is wearing the small??
Anyway, on Wed night, Will and Lincoln came over and the girls were in heaven.
Below is Lincoln hoping for a smooch good-bye. He is my favorite little fellow. Do they look related or what??
The following day, Hillers and I dropped Jax off for her 2nd day of pre-school. She kept saying, 'I don't want to go to school!' She cried, but not as much, as they developed a system whereby you sort of hand your kid through the top of a french door and leave. Disclaimer: On the phone to Jim I called it a barn door- thinking of how horses stick their heads through the top and stuff. Jim sounded confused, and said, 'You mean French door?' (Please. He knew exactly what I was talking about. Haha) Hilly and I hit up the mall for a stroll and a delicious cup of coffee.
We picked up Jax and headed to the Phila Expo to meet my friend at a huge secondhand children's crap sale. The way I got Jax to stay by me: I told her to pick out a bike and she followed me on her little riding toy through all the aisles. The girls were stellar. Hilly sat in the dbl stroller eating cheerios and watching kids.
At the register, I told her she had to leave the bike. She said, 'No! Other kids will get it.' I said, 'That's okay because grandma bought you a bike.' Sorry Mom! Haha I was desperate. We'll just pretend like the little bike at your house is hers to use while she's there.
