Jackie and Jim walked up to the park yesterday to his firm's softball game. Those are the first two pics. She is a great walking date, let me tell you. Her conversation is top notch.

Par example, this morning Jackie asked me if we could go to Gma's. I told her Gma was at the beach. She responded, "What about us?" Damn straight.

This summer she has been referring to sleeveless shirts or tank tops as "straps." Ex: "I don't want to wear straps today." I kept wondering why she was calling a tank top "straps.". Then today as we were reading Courderoy for the 1000th time, it hit me. Member how the strap on his overalls were broken (missing a button)? Bingo. Straps.

Also this morning Jim went to the dentist. Jackie was looking out the window when he got back and yelled "Mommy! Daddy's totally home!" I must use "totally" a lot because she asked me 100x what "totally" means. :)

Lastly, Hannah was licking Lou's ear this morning- probably bc Lou has an ear infection. Damn. Anyway, I told Hannah to stop. Jackie joined in, saying "Hannie! Stop eating Louie! She's a pet dog! Stop eating her! She's a pet!"

Hilly's vocabulary has taken off. She is obsessed w books and flash cards and has learned the most random words, unbeknownst to me. We all go through cards w her bc she loves them so much. Even Jackie does. Anyway, Hill knew "vulture" and "quail" and a lot of other random items. I've also been working on shapes and colors w her like crazy and they are starting to stick. It's a good feeling watching it click for them.
