This weekend... hmmm.. Interestingly, yet unsurprisingly, I've already forgotten the weekend. Except, of course, the great annual Shoemaker reunion. Jim became this year's official photographer- you can imagine his excitement. Who volunteered him? His loving wife. Prior to that, Jim got suckered into using the extra large cart at Target. Haha
Then today was Jackie's first day of school. She was really excited to go, agreeable this morning (monumental), and nary a tear was shed. When she came out she told me all about her day and said "I missed you guys SO MUCH." :)
In short, they had crackers ("rectangle ones"), apples and water for snack (she sat by P), played outside (she ran around), her and Will were shy but P was not, they all introduced themselves, and played ball during circle time. Oh, and the teacher read Dora'a First Day of School.
Meanwhile, Hilly and I hung out w our buddy Hannah (Lala). Hilly was so excited to have her own pint-sized playdate.
Hannah (the dog) chewed up one of our plastic elephants. Not cool. Jackie found a tusk on the ground and said "I thinks this is Louie's tooth. Lou, open your mouth!" I told her to give me the "tooth." I saw it was plastic. Then I looked down and saw a faceless elephant. Holy Christopher. Anyway, that was thrilling.
Also below is some evening roughhousing.
Oh, another cute factoid. To help Jax learn numbers/letters, we've been having number/letter hunts with the prize being m&ms. Today she asked to turn the tables and have me hunt. So she wrote some numbers and letters on papers and I hunted them. She worked so hard. :)
