Sometimes I am overtaken by how adorable he is. And handsome. And charming.
This week was ballet camp. I was totally skeptical and really only signed the girls up because (a) Hilly has been asking to try ballet and (b) Jack's former and future classmate was signed up and I wanted her to try something new with her this summer in preparation for kindergarten. I was very pleasantly surprised. The held hands as they walked in every day which gets me every time.
The first day their names were called and individually they tiptoed over to the teacher w their hands above their head, ballerina style. Both my girls did it without a hitch. They truly looked forward to going every day.
Below are Hannie and Hilly in their summer yoga class.
Sisters before ballet on Tues morning. Thomas tattoos still adhering to skin. I really don't like those temporary tattoos. They last forever.
This was a playdate on Tuesday maybe? Not sure. But below are Payton, Hannie, my girls, Miss Anne's sweet daughter named Beth and the little boy she watches Named Michael.
The kids all played together really well. Above is Hilly in a baseball cap dressed as tinkerbell playing dollhouse. Ya know. The usual.
I love when Ben wears a hat. There were a lot of Legos played last week.
I had the girls try drop in classes last week again. I can't remember which classes I signed them up for. Here are Hilly and I believe Em in their own personal ballet class. This was at the HAC.
Kyle and Em's grandma hooked all the kids up with an ice cream treat of their choice and a cookie. This lady spoils all the kids rotten. She is so nice.
It rained one day last week so the girls were pumped to be able to bust out their Frozen umbrellas from the Easter bunny.
Below, one day while the girls were at ballet I was excited to have a peaceful Target trip with just one child. Ben had other plans. He lost his mind over the girls being gone (I miss Jackie! I miss Hilly too!) and screamed his lungs out at Target. Refusing to sit in the cart. I was so pissed at him, despite that he is only 2.
Walking back to our car last week after gym. Hill kept telling the ballet teacher she had a headache. I didn't know if it was an attention getting scheme or she had some sort of serious illness. The high school girls helping out - one in particular- was completely smitten with Hilly. Every morning at drop off she would sweep Hilly off her feet and start dancing with her. The older girls were all super nice at this place. The little girls LOVED them.I hope my girls grow up to be as nice as these girls.
The performance on the last day. Again, I was so impressed. Even Hilly had everything down pat. They learned so much.
My girls were excited to perform, as you can see.
There were refreshments in a too-small room and I had to drag the girls away. Luckily there was a diversion outside:
They also brought home a folder full of art projects which was highly entertaining. Water paints. First time for everything! Weren't these things super popular back in the day? Why? They are kind of boring in my mind.
On Saturday we had the luxury of celebrating Kennedy's birthday party before we hit up the family reunion, which I will detail in the next post.
