Bright and early Saturday morning we woke up to spend time with Dada to help with farm chores at Coverdale before he had to work in the afternoon.
Hills dressed like Tinkerbell, obvi.
Our friends Kyle and Em and crew joined and the first stop was the baby cow.
This was easily the highlight. The kids helped bottle feed this little dairy cow.
Then the kids wandered over to feed the chickens leaves from the grass.
The were able to pet chicks before collecting eggs. Hill volunteered to hold the basket that held the eggs.
Then it was into the barn to feed the pigs.
Checking out the large meat cow and her calf and also the pregnant dairy cow. I'm like a cow expert these days.
Feeding the sheep.
We then ate breakfast nearby.
Everyone took long naps except Jackie and Hilly. Ahem. During the afternoon while Jim was at work we hit up the playground and it was one of those unsuccessful playground trips where there is a lot of whining and clinging. You envision them just being happy to be at a playground? Oh hell no. A good playground trip is not something a mother takes for granted.
We came back and hung w Miss Amy and Emily. They bought this thing called a glo wobble ball? Here everyone is trying to get it to inflate properly. It never did reach 3 feet in diameter so they donated the ball to us. Which the kids fought over like crazy so it is now hidden in our house. Saturday night my kids were in bed by 630.
