At 4am we woke up to that unfortunately familiar sound of Jax with a barking cough. After calling her doc, Jim took her to ER. Um, waiting to hear how they were was torture so I called my mom who immediately hopped in her car to our place in case we needed a second car. Thanks mom!!!!!!!! So when Jax got home to see Gma on the couch? Bliss.
We had planned a fun day of activities, but it turned into dr appointments and PJs and naps and snuggling while watching TV. A warm and fuzzy Hillers included.
Jax talked about the hops-bital w dada all day and was afraid the doctors would "break" her. Heartbreaking. She called her hospital bracelet her watch.
At the doctor with me, she was so good- answering Qs, deep breaths when asked, saying "Ahh." As the dr used his iPad to call in a prescription (um, amazeballs bc waiting for a prescription to be filled w a sick baby is the WORST), Jackie whispered to me, "Are we being quiet?" I was wearing a baseball hat and generally looking homeless and she said to me, "mommy, your hat looks funny." Thanks, friend.
She tipped the scales at 26 lbs and it looked to me that she was about 35.5 inches. A peanut, indeed. I may be wrong, though. Her official 3 yr wellness visit is next Monday.
