Id

I love how, at 16.5 months, Hilly is totally id. If she is mad, she hits (only family so far) or bursts into tears. If she is happy, she does what we've coined the "Eiding Quick Step"- bc it is a Jackie original. If she is feeling a surge of love for you, she drops everything to run and hug you. She is such a funny little beast to watch.

My favorite thing she does is say "ahhhhh" as if you were at the doctor in a relatively low voice (which contrasts from Jackie's super high voice). It is her signal for you to open your mouth so she can touch all your teeth with her sticky fingers.

She is teething pretty fiercely right now- waking up crying at night, clear runny nose, a bit of diarrhea, chewing on everything. It's nice to have learned her signs of teething bc I used to worry it was a cold or something. Afterall, Jackie had no teething symptoms. One day she had no teeth. One day she had a full set.

Pregnancy: I feel way bigger than I must look bc my friend said the other day "I can't wait until you start showing!" Start? Damn. And I am so hungry in the morning so I eat a ton, but by noon, it's small snacks from here on out or else I pay dearly. I get a super full and heavy and uncomfortable belly with indigestion. So awesome. Also, all I want to eat are quesadillas with hot sauce. Or hot sauce straight from the bottle.

But what is most important for me to document is that right now Jim and I are completely obsessed with homeland. We average 3 episodes a night and I beg him to agree to watch a 4th but he's all "I'm tired." and then I lay in bed contemplating watching another episode by myself anyway until I remember my little blonde-ish rooster that wakes up at 6am.
