Baptism, Illness and Swim

I don't have any pics on my phone of sweet Gabe, the man of the hour, but I will post some later if I can find some online. When I wasn't holding him, I was chasing toddlers, so I didn't get to play photographer. The girls (read: Hilly) were mysteriously well-behaved in church. Hillers just sat relaxed on her grandma's lap, chilling. I looked back and wondered, "Who is that toddler?" The old Hillers returned at Uncle Mick's afterwards- where she zoomed around the backyard and around the house - a woman on a mission. Then she fell on the one tiny patch of cement (naturally) and skinned her knee, resulting in a meltdown that sent us on our way. :) Never a dull moment w that one!

Anyway, got home and realized Jax had a fever. The neighbor girl, Em, dropped off Easter gifts of a movie, jewelry and duck cars for the girls and Jim and I test drove their minivan. Ummm... That's how you know you are cool.

Jax's illness continued to progress into what appeared to be a UTI and almost ER visit but ended in an early morning dr visit. Jim successfully got a urine sample from Jax so after the dr (where Hilly dashed into the dr's office and started playing w his stuff...) we hit up Target and Jack picked out 3 Jake figurines: Izzy, Cubby and Jake. We also hit up the park last night at like 6. The girls played together really well these past few days, come to think of it.

Anyway, Jim is sick and while I technically wasn't supposed to take Jax to school today bc she had a fever within 24 hours, I took her anyway. Why? Because I pay for school and, damnit, she's going. She needed to get the hell out of the house. She had a great day playing and then had her first group swim lesson. Grammy and Pops came to watch her and it was a half hour long instead of 15 minutes, which is awesome. She barfed in the pool from fussing but, it happens. She had sand in her goggles from the swim bag. I need to get her new goggles and a swim bag that doesn't touch the beach. So that upset her. Not her fault. Afterwards she said to me "Mom? I burped in the pool." I told her it happens- bc it totes does. I've seen a dozen other kids do it.

Hmm... What else. Hilly and I hit up the playground while Jax was at school today and said hello to our old daycare friends and staff.

Oh- Hilly says please and thank you. I swear. She is generally so blasé about pleasing the masses that the first time she said it I thought I was hallucinating.
