For starters to respond to Jenna's comment- it is totally funny that she thought the bridal shower was a birthday party! The whole wedding concept to her is crazy- at Xmas she became obsessed with talking about HER wedding ("in 3 days") and how Hilly will be too little to come and there will be dancing. Just bits and pieces she remembers from conversations w my mom while we were in Pittsburgh and Chicago at weddings.
Another thing she has been saying lately when she's mad is "It's not fair!!!" I responded "What's not fair?" She said "You don't say 'fair.' I say 'fair!!!!!" Anyway, it's so cute when she yells that it's hard to keep a straight face.
Hilly's favorite things to say are "All gone!" and "Mine" and also if you say "I love you!" to her, she responds "Buh-bye!" And last night when they were roughhousing, Jax was getting too rough and Hilly yelled "Jack!" as in "Stop!!" :/
In short, Jax had Little Gym today and was excited to go and had a blast. Hillers gazed longingly at Jax having fun and made a new friend her age named Leo. After class, she sat with the entire class wanting to participate and receive a stamp. Too cute!
Yesterday Jax had her 2nd group lessons. Jax cried a lot and the new goggles I got her suck, so that didn't help. Apparently, all goggles are not created equal. She fussed a bunch and her teacher said to me "She is swimming great- she is just making a lot of noise about it. I refuse to let her go back to her old lessons. She is ready for group." There you have it- a no bullish*t approach to child swim lessons. I am deferring to the expert in this area. Also, we get a longer lesson this way. Sorry, Jax. On way home from gym today she said to me "Mom? I don't like group lessons." We talked about how she is ready for group and individ lessons are for babies. So, we will see if that helped. This morning in her bath, she pretended she was a swim teacher leading a group lesson, so clearly she is processing this change and not hating it *entirely.*
Tonight we have Jack's school fundraiser. I am taking both girls and Jax won't have had a nap. This could go either way.... Wish me luck!
