Since it is still freezing out (in my opinion), we hit up the mall with P and Will today- this indoor play area combined with a B&N and a food court? Heaven. Also, there is a Target and Gap connected to this whole ensemble. Soo... Maybe we should get here more often.
Anyway, this morning pre-mall, things were going mysteriously smoothly.... Lately I've been giving Jax a detail of what our day will entail and this has helped a bit with transitions. But before you think "Yes! That is the trick"- remember we are dealing with a 3 year old. So at any given moment, there could be a protest. Example: "We are going to school this morning." Happy Jack: "Ok. I will pick my outfit". Insane Jack: "Noo! I don't want to go to school [insert protest every 3 minutes until school drop-off]." Ya just don't know what kinda morning it's gonna be til you are livin' it. Living on the edge.
The mall was awesome. Jack was super excited that we were meeting P- meeting up w Will was last minute and icing on the cake. Hilly ran around like maniac. I sort of want to run an experiment: let Hilly run around for hours in the mall at top speed and see when/if/how it ends. Her crashing into a wall with exhaustion screaming? Her falling asleep mid-run after 13 full hours of running? Her diving into the fountain?
The girls were really good, though, and had a lot of fun. Jax told me a story in the car: Her and P were running towards a fountain to see it and she said "Stop, P! You will fall in!" and P said "but I want to see!" and J said "But you might fall in! And that is where our money goes!" All in a very concerned voice naturally.
Also below is Jax designing 3 scrapbook pages- 1 for each teacher and 1 for the school director.
