Despite the lack of posts and pics, this week actually was pretty busy for us- and I'm happy to report that I've had success venturing out w the three kids. My friend Tiffany (P's mom) has been basically my lifeline in helping me out w Hilly when needed (even before Ben)-so basically she rules, and I look forward to the day when I can return the favor!
After the play date on Monday, I gave Jack a muffin tin filled with baking soda and vinegar and also an eye dropper. This was fun for her- and when she was done, Hillers and I played with it and cheered like crazy every time we saw the fizzing.
Below is also Monday (it appears from their outfits). I was trying to get the girls up to bed and they decided to wrestle instead. :)
Once they were in bed, there was a knock at the door and the neighbor girl brought gifts for the girls and Ben. So I had the girls come downstairs and play with Em before bed. They LOVE Emily.
Tuesday we had Jax's dance class in the morning and gym class at night. It was "bring a friend" day at gymnastics, so Payton came along. Jackie was SO excited to have gymnastics with Payton. It was really cute. I wasn't really in the position to take pics because I was wearing Ben in the Moby wrap- but I'm happy to report that all day long, he was super happy and cozy in the wrap and didn't freak out or anything.
On Wednesday, P and Tiffany and baby Hannah came over for a play date in the morning and then Emily (neighbor girl) came over from 430-530 (technically I was "babysitting," but believe me- she was the one doing the babysitting). Then our friends Martha/Kevin/Lincoln/Will/Henry came over to meet baby Ben and hang. I have no pics of any of this...
except for this handsome pic of Ben below- all dressed up. My mom and I were on the phone talking about what a catch he will be to his future spouse. I told her I can tell by his little toots and grunts! Being the unbiased grandma, she agreed wholeheartedly. I was telling Gma E about this conversation with my mom this morning and we were laughing about it. How funny it would sound to an outside party:
Me: "Ben is a serious catch!!!"
Mom: "Oh, I know it. That will be one lucky girl!"
Me: "Seriously. I don't even know if there will be a girl good enough for him!"
Haha, poor guy. Or poor girl! As long as she wants to hang out with me a lot, then I will be happy. :)
