Week 2 Photo Dump

For starters, Ben met Aunt D, Aunt K and Jenna and Jenna's friend last Sunday and it was a fun visit. Ben peed on Aunt Donna. Haha.

This week was my first week with 3 kids by myself. Thankfully, Tiffany, P and Hannah came over to hang a few times, as did Aunt Nini and Mer- but if you asked me what day these things happened, I could not tell you. It was a blur of feeding, changing diapers, bathing, doctor appts, feeding children and trying to keep the house not looking awful.

I can tell you that on Tues we had both Jax's dance class and later her gymnastics class. It takes us about 2 hours to get out of house (everyone clean, dressed and packed). And at the age of almost 2, Hilly is by far the biggest challenge out in public. I haven't quite figured out how to keep control over everyone... Oh, and Wednesday's doctor appt for Ben- was chaos. Keeping Hilly from dashing across waiting room, bouncing off the scale, climbing under exam table- it was an art form. Never a dull moment! Haha. Other mothers in waiting room commented on how brave I was to venture to the doctor with all 3. Ummm.... my options? But in all, it was an adventure and Jackie loved watching Ben have his check up. Also, Hilly is the coolest chick ever, so whatevs. If I have the girls hold hands, everyone stays together. I draw inspiration from like when people had 100 kids all 9 months apart and managed to keep at least some of them alive. :)

Oh and the girls and Ben got to say bye to Aunt B- who bought them the most gorgeous dresses ever. These dresses alone have inspired me to get their pics professionally taken with Ben this summer.

Otherwise, like I said before, these days all blur together. I recall this being the case in the early days of Hilly too. Just sort of putting out fires as they arise and figuring things out with an extra child. And we all are completely in love with Ben.

Also, since we've been sort of hunkered down, I noticed the girls have been playing together even more- esp since Hilly is getting older. Oh, here is an example of a wicked fight they had, though.

Jack and I built that castle. Hilly started to walk over to see it. Jack yelled "No, Hilly!" and this pissed Hilly off, so Hilly ran over and smashed it to bits with a look of smug determination as Jackie wailed. This is like my life story with siblings (thank you, Brian) - and I know I dished out my share of vengeance as well.

Jackie said to me the other day "Why do people talk?" "Why do people hold hands?"
