Today involves cleaning (I don't like coming home from vacation to a messy house), packing, and playing. And it was relaxing... Aside from dealing w H at Jax's gymnastics. Had to wake her from nap to go, which is fine, but boy did I pay. Homegirl was just not feeling it- tantrums, running away from me, etc... It culminated in a time out and me wrestling her into her car seat. The joy of children! Haha My saving grace is absolutely the fact that not only do I find humor in this crap, but so does P's mom.
What else is hilarious? Watching Jim deal w our dogs outside of a locked boarding kennel- we had no clue where the owner was or when he would be back. Haha He was sooo mad bc Lou scratched his shoe (and before you get your panties in a bunch envisioning your finest shoes scratched, blah blah- it wiped completely clean w a bit of saliva) and the dogs kept bucking bc they were wondering what was happening, that I had to burst out laughing at the scene bc it was so bad. Jim said to me "I am not laughing" and I had to laugh even harder bc I realized THAT is where Jackie heard that phrase she uses when she is mad!! Haha. I held my pee as best as my pregnant bladder would allow and laughed even harder and lied "I don't think it's funny either." But I have to be honest- the memory of Jim's face as he handled this situation has had me cracking up all day. Hahaha. I wish I had a video.
Anyway, I found this boarding place that is $33/day and they wouldn't keep charging us vet bills during the stay and the dogs have an indoor/outdoor run. Jim and I were wondering if we would be able to stay there also for $33/night also- like safe, less dirty, pseudo-camping! We pulled up and saw a St Bernard and German Shepherd and were like "uhh.... Sorry Louie.... You are definitely the smallest dog here." And I felt like crying as we drove away so I know my hormones are nice and elevated. Although I cried so hard dropping Lou off every time I boarded her before we got Hannie. And before she got mad that she had to share the spot light and started punishing us with her evil ways. Also, Hannah caught a mouse this morning. But enough dog talk.
See below- Jackie got the hang of packing and packed her own bag. It was so cute! She is so excited. And her and Hilly played together, albeit roughly at times, but it tugged at my heartstrings nonetheless.
Jax had so much fun at gym with P and on way home said "Mama, I want a goldfish named Sofia! I want to go to P's gma's house (with P- where P was spending the night)!"
