Mom's Day Tea, etc..

I officially had to take away Jackie's naps- as you can imagine, this delights her to no end.  She's really good at quiet time in the playroom for 1.5 hours or so, thankfully.  She napped Tuesday after swim and ended up quietly playing baby dolls in her crib until like 10pm Tuesday night.... uhh.. you can imagine how miserable she was on Wednesday.  It was a LONG day.  Mid-Wednesday, I noticed that Hilly's bedtime sippy cup of water was in Jackie's bed (along with Jackie's sippy cup, of course).  I asked her why she had both cups.  She said, "JR wanted a drink."  JR is one of her beloved baby dolls.  A household staple, if you will.

So below is a pic of Hillers on Wed playing magna-tiles and wearing a safari hat.  Hilly LOVES putting on hats and sunglasses.  She puts that hat on, grabs a stroller and rolls around the house like it's nobody's biz.

Below is Jax on Wednesday, pre-Little Gym.  Her misery started right before gym because she burped, which gives her anxiety that she will puke.  I took her to LG anyway- I knew once she got into the Little Gym and sort of out of her head, she'd feel better.  And she did.  She had a great time.  Kind of like adults working out- you always feel better after a good run on the treadmill, right?

In lieu of nap, Jax and I played in the yard.  She followed Lou everywhere looking for dog poops.  I asked what she was doing and she said, "I'm just keeping an eye on Louie."  Here, she was getting Lou to stand still so I could take their picture.  We played some t-ball and explored nature, which includes bugs and dirt and stuff that I generally am not into.

Yesterday was Mother's Day Tea at Jack's school.  She requested that both her and Hill wear tutus, so tutus it was.

Jax got a little shy (but not totally shy) and at one point I let Hilly loose and Hilly ran around playing like an old pro.

In the car en route to Friendly's with our friends.  Some sisterly bonding.

Hilly really wanted to hold Jack's hand.  Jack obliged.

Jack said the car was too hot so proceeded to make hilarious faces I was lucky enough to capture.

We got home and headed to our old neighbor's house to hang.  But first Hilly wanted to poop in private.

And I let them watch an episode of Caillou before we left.  Hilly looked so big!

At the neighbors.  The girls wanted to take the wagon and we picked lilac from a stranger's garden along the way.  They blew bubbles and played with ball in the yard.  The gnats were eating me alive and making me itch like crazy.  Luckily Jax hated them too.  The neighbor boy, B, was on excellent behavior, so it was really a nice visit.

She handed out popsicles and I tried to not give Hilly one (due to the mess) and she was NOT hearing it.  Homegirl made it clear that if everyone else was eating popsicles, we could count her in.  That's my girl!

Hilly has been communicating way more lately- and it always involves her needs- "Down!" "See!" "Good!"   This girl is living life and I am merely her accessory.  I hope she lives with me forever!
