Last Days at Beach

So last night was lazy- started with fun in a beer box, as all nights worth blogging about are wont to do. ;)

The girls, unbeknownst to them due to their 7pm bedtime, were babysat by the fam while Jim and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. Thanks, mom, gma E and aunt D/uncle J!

Next morning we left bright and early for home.

Today was my dad's fam memorial day picnic - pics I will post tomorrow.

Oh, on vacation a few things:

-Jax told cousin Jill her yoga pants were her "yogurt pants"
-hilly learned the term "Oopsie!" and uses it all the time. No clue where she got that.
-We got donuts at this place where you pick what toppings you want on them.  Jax's donut had sprinkles and she calls them "sparkles."  So cute.
-It was hard to convince Jack to even want to go for a walk bc she was so afraid she would miss out on something at the beachhouse. In the car, we would say "ok, we are going home" (meaning beachhouse) and she would panic, thinking we meant DE. But in reality it was like 630am and nobody would even be awake at the beachhouse, aside from Aunt Karen, for hours.
-today Jackie told me that her and Dada climbed "the biggest lighthouse in the world."
-the last day, Jackie let Jill lead her closer to the surf, where they picked a ton of seashells. Mark, Jenna and Jill made a ton of sandcastles for the girls and Jackie totally got the hang of decorating the castle w seashells.
-hilly never liked walking on the sand, which was awesome bc we didn't have to chase her at all. AWESOME. She would either lay on us or sit on blanket or chair and play w toys. After chasing her all day today at the picnic, I am extra grateful of her fear of sand.
