Agh, so many things.
Met up w Jax's BFF P at museum this morning.
Jax had swim yesterday and gymnastics as usual. Hilly had a hot date at gymnastics- sat still eating pretzel sticks for 25 min watching this kid. After gym, I went out and bought more pretzels.
I have a scratch on my wrist and Jackie said to me "I am a doctor. I will fix your boo boo" and then she listens to my "heart beep" and gives me a pretend band-aid, gives me a knowing and reassuring look and says "you will be fine."
We've had some struggles w transitions. She loves school but getting into the car and out door is a challenge. She gets silly, argues over clothes/car seats/every single thing in the world. Once she sees the school though, she is game.
When I was moving Jax's clothes to her new room, I said "I am sad." She became serious and said "What's wrong, mommy?" I said "My babies are growing up." She said "Don't be sad. You are growing up too! It will be ok. It will be ok." Then she kept checking on me to make sure I wouldn't be too sad. I am not too sad, though, bc I love listening to the girls giggle together in their room before bed. The other night I heard lots of giggling and Jackie saying "Hilly, what's your name? Can you say Hilly? Hilly, your name is Hilly" and then Hilly would babble to her. Jackie then tried to get Hilly to say "no" like she had been all weekend by asking "Hilly, do you want some banas?" At one point I had to go in bc I heard Jax say "Hilly, wake up!" She wasn't done playing. In the morning, Jackie tells her "It's okay" when Hilly is crying for her baba. Watching their little relationship unfold is the coolest.
