A few random things that I recall at this moment:
-Sunday night I was running on treadmill while Jim watched the girls. Mid-run, Jackie ran over to the gate (to keep out sneaky beagles and less intelligent goldens) and said excitedly "Mommy! We are watching a movie!!!" This always means Toy Story 1 or 2 bc they are the only legit movies the girls watch. We tried Little Mermaid last week and there was no interest... from the girls. I totally caught Jim singing along emphatically. Haha Anyway, I came into the room and the girls just looked so cozy and content that I wanted to stay in that moment forever. But alas...
-Monday morning we had Jackie sized for her flower girl dress. The lady was super foreign and outgoing so Hilly hid in my coat the entire time, which I love. Never get to see that side of my little adventurer. Jax was awesome and let the lady measure her. She even wore her finest plastic necklace from Wal-Mart. Jackie is a solid 2T, FYI.
-We then hit up Target for a few items and bc Jackie wanted to (she is well-trained). Walking the aisles she asked "What are we looking for?" I said "I am not sure." She responded "Be patient, Mommy." Haha. I tell her this 100x a day, so I was kind of psyched it sunk in. Kind of like when something not-awesome happens and she says "It happens." and moves along.
-Hilly has started to try to "change" her baby doll's diapers on the changing table in the playroom, load her ducky into the stroller and baby doll high chair lately.
-I let the girls "nap" together for 10 minutes yesterday (I knew they wouldn't- I just knew they'd have fun). Went in after 10 and Jackie said "But we were just laughing and going crazy in here!" umm, exactly. I walked in on Hilly attempting a somersault (and she was doing awesome, for the record).
-While Jax was at school yesterday, I found her baby diapers and napping snuggly in the baby doll crib and also a figurine cooking in the playhouse and another using a stool. Love examining playroom.
-Today I am taking both girls to a pregnancy doctor appt that I rescheduled 100x due to Jim's erratic work schedule. I am bringing umbrella stroller for H so she doesn't wreak havoc on the office. I am banking that I am not the first to have to drag 2 toddlers into the bathroom while giving a urine sample. I know you're jealous. This is going to be awesome. Especially if I get to wait 25 minutes for an appointment. Patience and silence happens to be one of H's strengths. Thankfully Grandpa and Nana hooked us up with a portable DVD. I do think Jackie will be fine and will love hearing the heartbeat, though.

Why is Alfred Angelo's floor so foul and dirty?
ReplyDeleteHaha! It isn't an Alfred Angelo store. Just an independent store that can order AA dresses.
