Easter Hayride

1. In bed Fri night Jack tried to write her own name. We've been going over letters together (we are at E) and she's been taking to it beyond my expectations. On signs and in books she will point out letters we've learned (Look! A "B"!). Apparently she took it upon herself to try to write them too. Also, I never taught her "j"- she just picked up on it. Kids are amazeballs.

2. Jax loves my heels. Those are good shoes, so...

3. Took an Easter Bunny hayride today w Gma Debbie, Pop-pop and Parker. It was an awesome farm- hayride, farm animals, train ride. Hilly LOVED the chickens. Never saw a kid love chickens so much. She just stood there squealing w delight at them for 25 minutes. What nobody realizes is that at home, we cluck like chickens while perusing animal books for hours on end.... So can't say I am surprised that a real chicken is exciting to her. She loves animals, yo.

Jax was super brave w the bunny when we saw him in his creepy forest bunny-land. The bun handed everyone a bag of choking hazards and went on it's way.

Overall, I give it an A+. We couldn't handle sitting around all day. We are combating the winter blues over here.
