Museum Monday

Perhaps this should be my new Monday theme. Me and my 2 main squeezes hit up the children's museum bright and early after dropping Jim off at work. Hilly pretty much runs around at full speed in 100 directions and Jax is so patient with chasing her. We don't get to focus on a lot of activities bc right when we get started, Hilly takes off! We did manage to nail down a few activities in the art room (Hilly was occupied with felt shapes) and also in the seasonal room which is now like a agility course. Hilly was building with foam blocks. Both girls were wiped out by the time we got home and they played and ate lunch. I knew both would nap. Heh. Heh. Heh.

My new favorite Jackie phrases are "Actually...." and during bath she drinks the water bc she knows it grosses me out, then she looks up and smiles and says "That tastes yummy in my belly." *shudders* Also, she will sink Barbie to the bottom of bath and say "Where did she go? She was here a minute ago..."

Truth be told, I have to wrestle that girl into the tub. I tricked her tonight by bathing Hilly and then letting H watch Sesame. When Jax tried to watch too I said "Sorry Charlie. Clean kids only." She was naked in that tub in seconds.

Yesterday she yelled at Lou (for barking at nothing) and then said "Stupid dog." So she was busted for verbal animal abuse and she told Jim she heard ME say it. I think it was Jim, Jim thinks it was me. In any event- we have to be extra courteous now to our exceedingly bossy beagle to set a good example. You try living with Lou and not getting annoyed at how bossy she is. Unlike my sweet Hannie who is an angel. Lou is rude!

Anyway, that was a parenting fail. I felt better when I saw her snuggling Lou 2 minutes later. I get super pissed when I see kids (or adults) being unkind to animals. So I best be saying nicer things to that stinky beag.
