On Wed Gma Debbie came up and we got the girls cleaned, packed and ready to get some portraits taken. Expectations were low, but we were hopeful. We were just taking advantage of one of those $17 deals at Portrait Innovations, so we had nothing to lose. Last time this occurred was exactly a year ago. Jax was terrified and cried and Hillers was happy as a clam and immobile. Easy.
This time? Jax was a total ham, which was awesome (in fact, she didn't want to stop having her pic taken) and Hilly was a nightmare. Yelling "No!" when we would try to get her to sit, dashing across the "set," running out of the picture room into other people's rooms, refusing to part with certain yellow duck-shaped props... Let's just say Hillers didn't make many friends that day. Haha
The pics of the girls together were awful. One looked good when the other didn't, vice versa. Not even worth $17. So we settled on individual pics. We were so exhausted after the ordeal, we sat and chatted while the girls played quietly at the Lego table, long after their picture ordeal was over.
Then we went to lunch and the girls were angels. I've never needed a glass of wine so badly in my entire life. Soon! Eeks. Too soon!
